Our Assessment Process

01

Portal Access and Documents

Call us to set up the intake meeting and we will create your child's client portal account.  You will receive an email invitation to create a password.  Save this information as the portal is key to accessing your child’s account.  Within the portal, there are documents that you will complete prior to the first meeting.

02

Intake Meeting

We begin with a comprehensive clinical interview to understand your child's history, current challenges, and your primary concerns for the evaluation.  This meeting is just the adults; children do not need to attend.  This meeting can be held in person or virtually on our HIPAA compliant platform.  At this meeting, we will design an assessment plan and schedule in person testing session(s) for your child.

03

Clinical Assessments

Your child will attend 90 minute session(s) at our location on 6385 Corporate Drive.  The number of sessions varies from one to four based on your child's specific needs.

Through standardized testing and clinical observation, we assess cognitive, social emotional and communication functioning.  Breaks are built into the testing format.  Clients are allowed to move around, fidget, even sit on the floor if they want. We want your child to come as they are!

04

Parent/Guardian Questionnaires

Parents/Guardians, Teachers, and Community Members may be asked to contribute to the evaluation by completing questionnaires.  You, as the parent/guardian determine who is contributing.  This is a critical piece of the evaluation as it provides a view of the client in their daily life.  These results indicate how results from clinical testing look outside the office setting.

Once all testing and questionnaires have been completed we will set up a final meeting.

In the time that passes between testing and that final meeting, we complete an integrated analysis of your child's data, identifying your child's strengths and formulating precise clinical recommendations.

05

Feedback & Reporting

At the final meeting, we meet to discuss the results in detail, providing a comprehensive report and a clear roadmap for community support, school support, and treatment planning.  You will receive a copy of the report to share with other entities as you see fit.
